Old Town Branch
In the heart of the city, we are proud to be part of Portland’s oldest and most historic neighborhood.
Location
221 NW Second Ave, Ste 100
Portland, OR 97209

Trailhead is proud to be part of Portland’s oldest and most historic neighborhood. Our Old Town Branch is also connected to our corporate headquarters. We have been in this location for nearly 40 years and have been part of the Old Town and downtown neighborhoods since 1935.
Historically, the neighborhood was Portland’s original urban core. Today, Portland’s Old Town Chinatown neighborhood is a diverse mix of office buildings, shops, restaurants, nightclubs, galleries, and social service organizations. It is home to attractions such as Portland Saturday Market and Lan Su Chinese Garden.

Meet Our Team

Kyle Ponder
Branch Manager
Kyle enjoys being able to help members through difficult times, and being a partner with them when they enjoy success, especially if we were instrumental in helping them achieve that success or those dreams. Along those lines, Kyle’s favorite aspect of Trailhead is that we are a family of people that really care about what we do, how we do it, and most importantly, WHO we do it for. Kyle took a tour around the western states before settling in Portland where he fell in love with how green it is – thanks to our rain. He also enjoys Portland’s food culture and being able to sit outside to enjoy a meal or drink with friends.

Louisa (Lou) Xavier
Senior Mortgage Officer
If you’ve ever worked with Lou, you know that she loves solving problems and ensuring that members are happy and satisfied. One of her favorite things about Trailhead is the diversity of our membership and the people and communities that we help. Lou loves to read because it takes her into a whole different world; she especially loves The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, which has inspired her dream of visiting Scotland someday. Born and raised in the Portland proper, Lou can often be found taking drives to her favorite places in the Gorge, Hood River, and Oregon coast.

Karla Bravo Rayon
Member Service Officer
Meet Karla! When she’s not playing with her daughters and her dog (a Blue Heeler/Blue Nose Pit) named Moo, you might find Karla getting a new tattoo or binge-watching shows and movies. Originally from Villa Guerrero Municipal, Mexico, Karla enjoys Portland for its cultural diversity, the Rose Garden at Peninsula Park, and restaurants like Siri Thai. Her favorite book is Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Mathew Desmond where he says, “Sometimes, the truth comes out slow.”

Manuel enjoys helping members with their banking needs and putting a smile on their faces. He was born in Mexico and moved to Hillsboro when he was two years old, and enjoys Portland for our beautiful waterfront, the amazing buildings, and the night life it has to offer. Self-described as caring, funny, and loyal, Manuel enjoys books from Steven King, pencil drawing, getting into drag, and he dreams of traveling to Italy someday.
