After more than three decades of serving our members, Gail James, Trailhead’s Executive Vice President, has announced that she will be retiring on March 31, 2019. When she started as the Assistant Manager in 1984, the credit union was called NW Gasco Federal Credit Union and was located on the second floor of the NW Natural building. Gail has been instrumental in our journey to where we are today.
Gail’s contributions to the success of this Credit Union will always be valued and remembered as she has been an integral part of the organization for 34 years. She currently oversees a large spectrum of operations including collections, fraud, card services, human resources, compliance, and a variety of administrative duties. Her hard work, steadfast commitment, and dedication are worthy of our admiration.
When thinking back on fun memories at work, Gail reminisced on her “Best Day Ever.” On her 65th birthday, she arrived at work to find every employee and Board member wearing matching t-shirts with a photo of her face and the message “Happy Birthday, Gail.” In retirement, Gail is looking forward to having more time to spend with family including a trip to Georgia to visit her mom, babysitting their youngest granddaughter, Aubrey, and watching her grow, and visiting with their older grandkids, Lily and Elliot. She also looks forward to completing household “fixes” …and getting to take a nap whenever she feels like it.
Gail says that the things she will miss most about Trailhead are her co-workers and great members. The feeling is mutual! Gail will be greatly missed! Please join us in wishing her well in this well-deserved next stage.
