How much are my accounts insured for?
Your funds at Trailhead are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), a division of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
The $250,000 in insured funds are per individual depositor, per ownership category. “Ownership category” refers to account type, usually single or joint. If you have a single and a joint account at Trailhead, both are insured up to the $250,000 limit.
IRA accounts are insured separately up to $250,000.
