Is there a fee to pay my loan from a non-Trailhead account?

It depends on the payment method:

Electronic Payment (ACH): There is no fee for making an electronic payment from another institution’s checking or savings account (you will need the routing and account number).
Debit Card: A $5 card processing fee applies when using a non-Trailhead debit card.
