Old Town Branch
In the heart of the city, we are proud to be part of Portland’s oldest and most historic neighborhood.
221 NW Second Ave, Ste 100
Portland, OR 97209
Trailhead is proud to be part of Portland’s oldest and most historic neighborhood. Our Old Town Branch is also connected to our corporate headquarters. We have been in this location for nearly 40 years and have been part of the Old Town and downtown neighborhoods since 1935.
Historically, the neighborhood was Portland’s original urban core. Today, Portland’s Old Town Chinatown neighborhood is a diverse mix of office buildings, shops, restaurants, nightclubs, galleries, and social service organizations. It is home to attractions such as Portland Saturday Market and Lan Su Chinese Garden.

Meet Our Team
Louisa (Lou) Xavier
If you’ve ever worked with Lou, you know that she loves solving problems and ensuring that members are happy and satisfied. One of her favorite things about Trailhead is the diversity of our membership and the people and communities that we help. Lou loves to read because it takes her into a whole different world; she especially loves The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, which has inspired her dream of visiting Scotland someday. Born and raised in the Portland proper, Lou can often be found taking drives to her favorite places in the Gorge, Hood River, and Oregon coast.
Member Service Officer
A native of Hawaii, Elliott has now earned his webbed feet in Portland, although he still dislikes our winters! He loves that Portland is a small city, with the amenities of a large city and counts Waterfront Park, LanSu Chinese Garden, and Portland Japanese Garden as some of his favorite spots. Elliott enjoys creating relationships and solving problems for our members and appreciates that he gets to be himself and share his personality at Trailhead. His favorite quote comes from Dita Von Teese: “You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there’s still going to be somebody that hates peaches.”
Member Service Officer
Crystal loves chatting with members and learning about their lives, and relishes in being able to make someone’s day. Her roots are in Oregon and California, but she dreams of traveling to Japan someday. She has a Shih Tzu Chihuahua mix (who looks more like a puggle) name Coco Chanel, is a fan of the podcast Dark History with Bailey Sarian, and enjoys watching movies and trying new foods and restaurants. Crystal describes herself as funny, easygoing, and spontaneous, and as you get to know her, we think you’ll agree!
Member Service Teller
Self-described as optimistic and curious, Irina loves seeing and learning about our members as much as they appreciate her help and smile. Irina enjoys playing and listening to classic music, reading books, and being outside enjoying the views and sounds of mother nature. She loves Portland’s spring blossoms, autumn brightness, and sweets from Papa Hayden’s.
