Our story began in 1935. In a time of great economic uncertainty, a group of NW Natural employees came together with a simple but powerful idea: what if we could pool our resources to help each other achieve financial stability? This wasn’t about profits; it was about people. That cooperative spirit is the foundation upon which Trailhead was built, and it remains the compass that guides us today.

For nine decades, we’ve had the privilege of being part of your stories. We’ve been there for the financing of a first car, the joy of purchasing a new home, the launch of a dream small business, and the planning for a secure retirement. We’ve grown and evolved right alongside the vibrant, unique Portland community we are so proud to call home.
